Business Development Consulting
Kagan Architecture is an architectural firm founded in 1972 in New Haven, CT by Gerald Kagan, still actively involved as leader. The initial focus was to transition business development responsibilities from the founder to a marketing committee made up of project architects, all part of a strategic consulting module.
NetSage recommended the new marketing committee reconsider marketplace positioning in light of a changed environment, by redefining the firm’s core values and writing a new mission statement to which the entire group could commit. Business development responsibilities could then be transferred based on the sharing of information in a unified, supportive environment. Future meetings were to be chaired by the firm’s designated team leader. As a result of this transition, Kagan Architecture was selected as one of three finalists for a development project on land owned by Yale University, in partnership with a well-known national developer.
